What an eye opener! I always enjoyed The Wizard of Oz as a fun, fantasy movie. Christine Whitehead has enlightened me on the spiritual aspects in Dorothy’s journey through a learning period of her life. To have revealed the fact, that every person and situation is a guide for her, is a blessing. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning the deeper meaning of Dorothy’s journey and thank Christine for her ability to stir new insights in fantasy and reality. Christine Whitehead has written a book that is deeply spiritual and is warm, funny and accessible. Many people love the movie "The Wizard of Oz" but may not have wondered if there is a deeper meaning to the story. Reading this book brings together the familiar with the yet undiscovered. I highly recommend this book.
As a child I watched this movie on television every year. When my children were small I watched it with them. Isn't it funny that my daughter is the one who pointed out the differences in the book and the movie ? It simply never occured to me that there were life lessons within this lovely little story. Christine has put flesh on the bones of these movie characters and made them more like my next door neighbors. I even see elements of them within myself.

As an individual well-versed in New Age/Spiritual Literature, I was pleasantly surprised while reading The Wondrous Wizdom of Oz. "The Wizard of Oz", an American classic, which has endured the test of time is filled with simple, honest metaphors and straight-forward lessons for living to your Highest Potential. "Wizdom of Oz" carefully points out many basic truths found in the story that are probably overlooked or never recognized. "Wizdom of Oz" is thought-provoking & enlightening & the reader can tell the writer crafted this work with great loving care and compassion.
The playfulness and adventure of the Yellow Brick Road journey is a spiritual one as well. Christine Whitehead's book speaks with insight, clarity and deep wisdom. Her words resonate on personal and universal levels. She reveals the much beloved tale as more than what Baum may have imagined it to be. She has beautifully revealed The Wizard of Oz with a higher level of understanding, beyond the simple enchanting story every child knows. As Dorothy was taken by the wind, we become swept up by the winds of clarity of events as they unfold. She takes us to a magical land of understanding. From her insight comes an inner journey through the enchanted Land of Oz and home again, more enriched by the journey than ever. We give it 5 clicks of the heels.
This book is simply amazing. I always loved watching "The Wizard of Oz" as a child, but I never realized the higher meaning to this story until I read "The Wonderous Wizdom of Oz". I thought it was wonderful that the author added her own "wizdom" to help translate one of the most fantastic movies of all time. It definately helps the reader to see that we too have people in our life, as well as spirit guides, to help us along our own great journey. This truly is a spiritual odyssey that gives thoughtful advice from spirit on how we can follow our own yellow brick road through life. A+!
