An enjoyable series of books. Just a few flaws though with technical issues. First of all in real life Agent Vatch would have been compelled to retire with his disability, or at least be assigned a desk job, due to the hazardous duty qualifications assigned to the position of federal law enforcement officer. Federal agents must be able to physically respond to situations in the field. In Catch a case he was unable to do so due to his physical disability. Secondly, the court proceedings occurred in the U.S. District Court, in the Southern District of New York. All in all the story was well written and other than the late two issues the legal facts were spot on.Product details

Thrilling and captivating...fast action-packed story that is hard to put down.
There are, however, numerous errors and typographical errors that detract and throw the reader off course. For those, I blame the publisher, not the author.
This book is the 3rd submission in the character Michael Collins trilogy. It 's 1054 on and I just finished it. Well written and plotted with enough twists and turns to make you wonder how the heck is this going to turn out. The characters read as real and terribly flawed but ultimately very human. Get comfortable in the couch and enjoy the literary ride. I did!
This book is the second in this series and just like the first book, I can't wait to read more about Michael Collins and Kermit. Kermit is a very interesting character that helps to keep the book light.
I started reading this book at the end of J.D.'s first book, "No Time To Run", and as soon as I finished reading those first few chapters ~ I immediately purchased this (No Time to Die). I read it easily in one day, as I simply could not put it down until I finished reading it. I found the characters so real and loved this book, as well as the last book took me to. I have lived near the ocean a lot (as in his first book), as well as in various areas of the world. J.D.'s style and descriptions transports you as if you were there with his characters. I eagerly wait for his new book to be available this week through , I believe.
In this third book of this best-selling series, Michael Collins is still evading FBI Agent Frank Vatch. The agent is still seeking him for taking many millions of dollars from a client. Michael is enjoying life in Mexico as a beach bum. However, very soon the FBI will catch up to him and indict and arrest him for this crime. But Collins has one more trick up his sleeve. This story is very enticing and a fast read. Excellently well written and certainly with a very crafty story line. Highly recommend.
Attorney Michael Collins and his friend, Kermit, are enjoying life in Mexico. Little boy, Pace, has received letters every week from his father in Florida working on a tomato farm. He hasn't heard from him in a couple of weeks and sought help from Collins. Michael had promised the boy he'd find his father, Tommy Estrada; however, Michael is pursued by the US. Federal Government for stealing 500 million dollars from a client ... a crooked client. He's at great risk of being located in the U.S., but a promise is a promise, and he'd do his best to find the boy's father. This is a fast moving thriller, with fascinating characters. It's well written and very exciting. Highly recommend.
This book was a surprise to me. The definition of pro- and antagonists came early and somewhat conventionally, leading me to believe the story might be transparent. The characters played their roles in a predictable fashion 'til mid-book when events stirred up allegiances and cast the outcome in doubt.....and this is what makes a good read. When the author stays ahead of his readers and throws them off with upending surprises, there results in a stronger reader commitment....that stuff about not being able to put the book down! There is a simple equation between writers and readers authors write to be read; readers pay in money AND time to read. When this equation is most effective, the author is successful and his readers satisfied. Self-evident, you say. The key is satisfaction, and that's about feelings, about the reader being happy, mostly about the investment of his or her time. As we turn that last page the book of words becomes our feelings. This, it seems to me is the test. Mr Trafford has cast his principal character, Michael Collins, as totally believable and true to his fictional person. MC underpinned an interesting story and as I rounded that last corner I had feelings of pleasure for a book well written.
